Want Not

Re- designing the pattern making process, an effort to make a shoe from one single cut of leather. Playing with stretching and moldings, influenced heavily by felting techniques of Milliners in pre war Europe. It is estimated that around 800,000 tons of leather are wasted every year as off-cuts, trimmings and shavings from the manufacturing process are needlessly thrown away. An attempt to combat this by producing a single cut shoe.
